Snow skin mooncakes that split open to reveal a molten lava centre? It really doesn’t get any better (or trendier) than this. Hopping on the ‘oozing desserts’ bandwagon, Antoinette will debut a collection of snow skin mooncakes that can be enjoyed in two different ways.
The regular chilled ones boast a lovely, creamy texture; but if you can’t curb your fascination with things that ooze, simply pop a piece into the microwave for a couple seconds and you’ll instantly have a mooncake with a flowing lava centre.

Three new flavours are featured in the snow skin series — chestnut lotus paste with white chocolate matcha truffle, low sugar white lotus paste with dark chocolate truffle, and low sugar white lotus paste with salted egg. They’re all excellent when eaten chilled, but we’d recommend you eat them warm, especially the salted egg one.
Plus, making a comeback this year are two popular snow skin mooncakes — osmanthus marble with goji berry and dark chocolate lotus paste with crunchy pearls — as well as the macaron lunar of low sugar white lotus paste enveloping salted egg yolk, sandwiched between macaron shells.

Of course, traditional baked mooncakes are also available with low sugar white lotus paste and a choice or pure paste or salted egg yolks.

All items are available for pre-order now and will be in Antoinette stores from Aug 1. Mini snow skin mooncakes: $54.50/box of eight; traditional baked mooncakes: $48-$55; macaron lunar: $19/box of six. For orders made before Aug 27, the early bird 20 percent discount will be offered.
