Ahead of next week’s announcement of the winners of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023, Singapore has once again proven its prowess in the global bar scene, with five of its bars making it to the 51-100 list. The Lion City has the most bars in Asia on the list, out of a total of 14 across the continent.

Leading the pack is 28 HongKong Street, which ranks at No.59, followed by Manhattan at No.63, Nutmeg & Clove at No.64, Analogue Initiative at No.78 and Native at No.83. These bars showcase Singapore’s diversity and innovation in cocktail making, with each offering a unique concept and style.

28 HongKong Street is a speakeasy-style bar that serves classic American cocktails with a twist, using premium spirits and fresh ingredients. Manhattan is a grand hotel bar that pays homage to the golden age of cocktails and fine drinking, with a menu inspired by the history and culture of New York City. Nutmeg & Clove is a cozy and elegant bar that celebrates Singapore’s heritage and flavors, with cocktails that incorporate local spices, herbs and fruits. Analogue Initiative is a futuristic and minimalist bar that focuses on sustainability and creativity, with cocktails that use upcycled and recycled ingredients. Native is a trailblazing and award-winning bar that champions regional and indigenous produce, with cocktails that feature exotic and unconventional ingredients such as ants, grasshoppers and weaver ants’ honey.

The World’s 50 Best Bars is an annual ranking that celebrates the best of the international drinks industry, based on the votes of more than 500 experts from around the world. The list is organized by William Reed Business Media, which also produces The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

The winners of the 15th edition of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 will be revealed at a live awards ceremony in Singapore on Oct. 17, 2023.
