Nestled comfortably in the gleaming new Park Hotel Farrer Park, Blue Jasmine flings open its doors today with a spread of Thai dishes. Focusing on communal dining and sharing plates, the restaurant is all about traditional flavors inspired by Thailand’s street food, but with a modern twist.

Prawn pad Thai

Besides classic Thai plates like pad Thai, tom yum and green curry, the 100-seater space also serves up creations like salmon larb with tomato concasse, lemongrass, spicy tamarind dressing and crispy rice crackers; a beef salad made of grilled Aussie ribeye, Thai herbs and roasted chili dressing; and stir fried prawns with petai, chili, garlic, shrimp paste and gooseberry.

For an added kick to your meal, try curries like the orange curry stingray, crab meat yellow curry with vermicelli, or the spiciest dish on the menu — beef green curry. Each main dish order comes with a bowl of rice too: choose from steamed, sticky, organic, multi-grain or Blue Jasmine rice. Fancy.

Mango sticky rice

If you just want something sweet to savor while you chill out indoors or by the poolside, try the melon sago with red ruby, or the mango sticky rice with coconut custard and caramelized peanuts.

Blue Jasmine is at L5, Park Hotel Farrer Park, 10 Farrer Park Station Rd. Daily 11.30am-2.30pm, 6pm-10pm.
