Here comes yet another overseas bubble tea brand making its debut in Singapore – but this time, it’s got quite the ambitious plan to conquer our taste buds. TenRen’s Tea from Taiwan just launched at ChinaTown Point over the weekend to a crowd of hundreds, and it’s already looking at opening up about 30 outlets across the island over the next three years.

The 50-seater here offers bubble tea, traditional tea beverages, and snacks, as well as packaged loose leaf tea and tea ware.

If you’ve never heard of the brand, it’s apparently one of the biggest tea retailers in the world: TenRen’s has more than 2,000 stores around the globe, in countries such as Hong Kong, the United States, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Australia, since its establishment in 1953.

One of its well-known attributes is its claim of using only natural and home-grown ingredients from its own plantations. That, and that TenRen’s avoids artificial preservatives in its drinks, which include signatures such as 913 King’s Oolong Tea Latte ($3.50/medium, $4.90/large), Orange Green Tea ($4/medium, $5.60/large), and Taro Green Tea Latte ($4.70/medium, $6.50/large).

Tea enthusiasts who want to bring some goodies home can do so with the likes of oolong tea, candy, preserved plum and preserved kumquat with green tea, green tea-marinated tofu cubes, green tea mochi, and even gift packages.
