Taste MasterChef-worthy dishes at the TV show’s first ever pop-up in Singapore (and Asia)

If you’ve ever gazed at the sold-out MasterChef pop-ups in Australia and London with great envy, you’ll be psyched to know that the reality TV cooking show’s unique dining experience is coming to our shores. Yes, the MasterChef Dining & Bar is making its debut in Singapore, which also happens to be its first stop in Asia. 

UK celebrity chef and restaurateur Marco Pierre White, the youngest chef ever to get three Michelin stars, will be crafting the bespoke menus, which will feature some of the best creations seen on MasterChef. Joining him is MasterChef US Season 4 winner Luca Manfè and the now-perfected dish that got him on the TV show — broccoli rabe ravioli with sage butter, tomato concasse and pine nuts.

On the local front, we have Singaporean Woo Wai Leong, the winner of last year’s MasterChef Asia, serving up plates such as dashi tea broth with caramelised lychee purée, egg white, cured hamachi and scallop, and beef shortrib with tofu cream, eggplant and crispy glutinous rice. Then there’s MasterChef Australia‘s Audra Morrice and her braised beef short rib with gula melaka, fermented soy beans and lemongrass dish, as well as a dessert of bougatsa, semolina custard, cinnamon, filo and spiced poached pears.

Dessert maestro Reynold Poernomo from MasterChef Australia will take over Morrice on the second week to bring you a citrus cheesecake mousse with blackberry gel, yuzu curd, blueberry compote, lemon meringue and lemon shortbread shards.

And since it’s an open kitchen concept, you’ll get to interact with the chefs and live out the MasterChef dream you’ve been fantasising about ever since the series launched.

Ash & Elm at InterContinental Singapore is the place to be over the 15-day event, where daily lunches will feature four courses, and dinner will be a six-course affair. Only about 200 seats are available for both sessions each day, so you better get your tickets ASAP before they all get snapped up by fervent fans with lots of cash to spare.
