Mitch Orr is the chef and co-owner of award-winning Aussie restaurant Acme — he’s also known as Sydney’s ‘Prince of Pasta’. And with that title, he brings to Maggie Joan’s Italian dishes instilled with Asian flavours for his two-day kitchen takeover. On the sharing menu are Acme signatures, such as the baloney sandwich with mortadella and potato bread, and the macaroni pasta plate with pig’s head and a gooey egg yolk — his rendition of the traditional Filipino sisig.

This month’s pop-up event marks Orr’s first visit to our shores, and the menu is available for pre-order here.
Maggie Joan’s is at #01-01, 110 Amoy St. Mitch Orr’s kitchen takeover is on Sept 16: Lunch at noon and 12.30pm, dinner at 6pm and 8.30pm; and Sept 17: Dinner at 6pm and 8.30pm. $75++/person.
