Satiate your hotdog cravings at new CBD space Frank, which is hailed as Singapore’s first (and only) full shipping container eatery. Basically, what differentiates the concept by Brotzeit from those shipping container cafes at Punggol is that it’s situated in an actual ISO-certified one, which can move and set up at a different location anytime it wants.
Crammed into a tiny space of 16 sqm, the eatery features a menu that’s all about hotdogs in various bun and flavor combinations. Offerings include the simple Nürnberger Dog ($10), topped with potato salad, wholegrain mustard and mayo in a pretzel bun, which turned out to be one of the best.

There’s also the 7 Cheese Frank ($12) for cheese lovers everywhere to indulge in a pork sausage drowning in 7 cheese sauce, mozzarella and cheddar.
But if you’d like something a little different, try the K-Dog ($11), a Kurobuta pork sausage doused in kimchi and Korean sweet spicy glaze; or the Tokyo Frank ($12), a Kurobuta pork sausage slathered in miso dressing, nori, bonito flakes and a teriyaki glaze.
Alternatively, there’s the Burger Dog ($22, includes a mug of beer), a beef snail sausage topped with aged cheddar and grilled onions on a brioche bun.

And even though the Salted Egg Frank ($15) isn’t technically an actual sausage, each bite of man tou bun containing crispy fried squid sausage coated with salted egg sauce was kind of really addictive.

For a couple of sides to go with your hotdog bun, try the mini chicken sausages ($7) served with a satay dip, or go for Frank’s potato salad ($5).
Oh, and if you’re working in the vicinity, grab these buns to go — things can get rather hot and stifling when you’re sitting at the small tables right next to the mobile kitchen.
Frank is at #B1-01 NTUC Centre, One Marina Blvd, 8541-9046. Daily 11am-10pm.
