Any Hai Di Lao Hot Pot fans in the house? Think back on all those times you had to wait in line just to get a taste of steamboat goodness. Afraid now? Well, if you were thinking of braving the queues for a Chinese New Year reunion dinner at the popular restaurant, now you don’t have to. For one day only (Jan 30), Hai Di Lao is teaming up with UberEATS to deliver hot pot sets to your doorstep.
The delivery service will be free for Standard Chartered card holders and new users of UberEATS — everyone else will have to fork out $88 for ingredients like veggies, meats and seafood worth about $300 to feed six people. You’ll also get a free hot pot and cooker (that you can keep!), an UberEATS apron and UberEATS red packets.
Make your request on the app between 10am to noon, and you’ll get the food by 5pm on that day.
Unfortunately, this service is only available for the (lucky) people living in Serangoon, Bedok, Katong and the CBD. Also, there’s a limit on the number of sets available, but UberEATS didn’t share more details. Just be patient when sending in your request, because there’s definitely gonna be a lot of people hungering for hot pot.
