Singapore’s laksa wholegrain instant noodles takes first place on The Ramen Rater’s top ten list… again

Once again, the laksa wholegrain la mian by Prima Taste has been crowned the best instant noodles on the planet by ramen addict and YouTube personality The Ramen Rater. It takes top spot for the second year in a row on the man’s Top Ten Instant Noodles of All Time 2017 Edition. Cool stuff, if you’re an avid instant noodle eater (watch out for the MSG though).

Confession: we still haven’t slurped up a bowl of the “masterfully delivered” laksa, but it’s definitely on our list of rainy day cheap eats now. Especially when he describes it this way: “the broth is a harmony [of] paste and coconut milk powder that has great taste and richness” and “it all comes together [in] a crescendo [of] flavor and texture”.

Oh, and amongst the instant noods from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea, two other Singaporean ones made it on the list  — Straits Reborn Laksa at third spot for its extra rice noodles and rich broth, as well as Prima Taste’s curry wholegrain la mian for its hearty bowl of “thick, lavish curry” with a generous dose of coconut milk powder.

Damn, we’re so hungry right now. You can get the Prima Taste Laksa Wholegrain La Mian ($11.40/four packs) at all major supermarkets if you’d like to judge ’em for yourself.
