Got a passion for cooking but can’t seem to replicate the impressive recipes of Gordon Ramsay or Heston Blumenthal that require state-of-the-art kitchen equipment? Perhaps the new OUE Social Kitchen could be the solution to your culinary complications.

Hailed as Singapore’s first communal cooking open kitchen concept, the professional kitchen is decked out with every professional-grade appliance you could ever dream of, including gas and induction hobs, ovens, microwaves, fridges, wine chillers and coffee makers — all from Smeg. The space takes up about 370 sqm at the shiny new Downtown Gallery, and features two VIP rooms, six standards stations — as well as two halal-friendly ones — and baking essentials, cookware and crockery provided by OUE Social Kitchen.

You can choose to bring your own ingredients or buy pre-packed ones via the mobile app or over the counter to prepare your meal with. And if you come across any challenges, just ask the in-house chef for assistance or cooking tips. Staff will also be on hand to offer clean-up services — honestly, that just sounds like the best part of it all.

Once you’re done channeling your best MasterChef impression in the kitchen, feel free to head over to the dining area, where you can interact with other cooks or host meals for your family and friends.
