A savory chocolate buffet is coming your way in April

Mmm, chocolate. It’s a many-splendored thing, full of wondrous possibilities that can transform ordinary treats into decadent desserts. But at the kitchen table’s first chocolate buffet, the cocoa confection veers away from the traditionally sweet and leans toward the savory. Think dishes like spinach pear salad with chocolate vinaigrette, white chocolate and ginger chicken, Catalan beef stew with Rioja, as well as dark chocolate and lemongrass-crusted sea bass with spiced chocolate oil.

Phew, that’s a lot of chocolate to consume in one meal. But since it’s mostly savory creations, you won’t have to worry about pigging out and feeling gelat after two bites. Oh, and for those with a sweet tooth, head straight to the dessert table and pile your plate high with 20 types of chocolate concoctions, including salted caramel and milk chocolate panna cotta, and white chocolate bread and butter pudding.
