The food scene in Singapore is always buzzing. Case in point: The soon-to-be-opened new restaurant enclave Savourworld at Science Park Drive. Great news for those of you who feel like you’ve visited places such as Rochester Park, Dempsey, Holland Village and even Seletar Aerospace Park one too many times.
After a two-month delay, the $10 million project will officially fling open its doors on Oct 1, with 30 F&B concepts spread across the sprawling 60,000 sq ft space, which is a three-minute walk from Kent Ridge MRT station. The gourmet village will open seven days a week, with regular band performances, themed festivals (such as the upcoming Oktoberfest) and parties taking place there.

With meals priced as low as $10, the restaurants all surround the al fresco courtyard area, with new and familiar tenants such as Italian cafe Aglio Olio Bistro, Chinese Noodle Bar by Blue Lotus, Ramen Atelier and its Japanese-French cuisine, and Turkish eatery Ottoman Kebab & Grill. On the drinks side, you can expect to see brands like Thai milk tea purveyor Cha Tra Mue, wine and spirits retailer Blotto Bottles, L.A.B. and its bottled cocktails, The Good Beer Company, and Coffee Break.

Most of the eateries have been opening gradually over the past six months, including the likes of Tex-Mex cafe Spruce and ice cream parlor Licktionary. By next month, tenants like donburi eatery/izakaya bar Tokyo Joe, fried chicken joint Wildfire Chicken & Burgers, cafe Uncommon Grounds and Indonesian restaurant Indochili will be open.
But perhaps the best part of it all for food-obsessed Singaporeans is that you can order dishes from multiple restaurants in the cluster and feast on ’em all. Basically, just think of it as an atas food court with pricier food and a laid-back ambience.
Savourworld will open on Oct 1 at 2 Science Park Drive.
