The annual festivities for the month of Ramadan in Singapore have begun!
Muslims in Singapore begin a month-long journey of fasting and reflection – but when dusk comes around, some parts of the city light up for the bazaars.
Find plenty of kuehs, hearty and sinful meals and snacks prepared on the spot by local vendors who cater traditional or experiment with fusion food at this year’s Ramadan bazaars.
Here are some that are happening all around Singapore.
Geylang Bazaar
This year’s Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar will be the longest-running one yet with 10 times more stalls operating than last year.
The bazaar kickstarted the celebrations five days earlier and will run for 36 days until April 21.
Geylang Serai is filled with over 700 stalls split into two locations. One area will be within Wisma Geylang Serai aka Souq City, and another is spread across the streets of Geylang Serai Market to Tanjong Katong Complex.
Till April 21. Open 10am to 11:59pm daily.
Kampong Glam
One Kampong Gelam’s bazaar along the streets of Baghdad Street, Kandahar Street and around Sultan Gate will house close to 90 stalls selling food, drinks and desserts.
Familiar brands such as Broti, Ramly Cafe, The Secret Garden by Zeekri, among many others will be catering.
There are also booths selling handmade arts and crafts and traditional Malay clothing as well as music performances.

Eid Souk
The Eid Souk 2023 is back with more booths selling prayer wear, jewelry, apparel, wellness products, Abayas, Hijabs, essential oils and balms.
Brands you can expect are Lady in Jewelry, Lavlin.co, Qraftsy Qakes, Anesi Bakes, Leaf & Ember, Madina Modest, among many others.
From April 6 to 9 at the Visual Arts Centre (above Dhoby Ghaut MRT exit A or B). Check their page for more information.
Bay Laurel
Event space Bay Laurel is hosting a popup market for this Ramadan with vendors selling homemade kueh and cookies along with other pre-packed food.
