The rainbow food fad has now given roti prata and thosai a ridiculous multi-colored makeover

So it seems like the rainbow food fad just refuses to die out. Over the years, we’ve had multiple versions of rainbow cakes, as well as newfangled creations like rainbow cheese toasties, rainbow shots, rainbow lattes, rainbow pancakes, rainbow donuts and who knows what else is lying out there waiting to be discovered. Rainbow ramen maybe? Aw geez, it’s been done too.

Well, here’s yet another beloved food that’s been given the multi-colored makeover: Prata and thosai. Brought to you by the recently opened Banana Leaf Pork Briyani eatery in Woodlands, the pratas here are given the food dye treatment in green, blue and pink renditions available plain, with egg, or with cheese — all served with pork or chicken curry.

But that’s not it. If you’re more of a thosai lover, you can also get your fix (in similar colors) and take a shot for the ‘gram — assuming that’s what you’re there for. The stall also sells regular, generously portioned briyani with chicken or pork, in case you’re the one being dragged there by your rainbow fanatic friend.

Check out the place below.
