Popular Japanese bakery Pablo is coming here soon, but don’t expect gooey molten cheese tarts

Not impressed by the fluffy cheese offerings from the likes of BAKE Cheese Tart, Crusty Oven or Flor Pâtisserie? You’ll just have to wait just a bit longer to bask in the warm oven glow of OG molten cheese pastry purveyors Pablo, which will be, surprise, surprise, opening an outlet at Wisma Atria soon.

The famous specialty dessert shop from Osaka, Japan, is finally extending its reach here long after the buzz for rivals BAKE and the whole cheese tart trend has kinda wound down in Singapore. But perhaps Pablo will help re-energize the craze once again — have you seen how gooey their cheese tarts are?

Alas, folks won’t be able to have the option of having their cheese tarts done “rare” — meaning its molten won’t be as gooey as they’d like. According to DanielFoodDiary, the “rare” option isn’t available in outlets outside Japan, and that’s a huge fuckin’ waste. Meaning Pablo’s iteration of pastries will probably taste the same as the dozens of other similar cheese tart brands, albeit slight differences.

Aside from their basic cheese tarts, folks can also look forward to their matcha, chocolate and apple-flavoured ones, as well as Pablo’s soft-serves.

Another fun fact: We’re probably the last people in the region to have Pablo outlets. The Japanese bakery has already faced long queues outside established branches in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Jakarta.
