Pop by this two-day festival where food meets design in art installations and craft workshops

Munch on bites from local food vendors, get a load of food-themed showcases and attend creative workshops at the first ever food-meets-design festival by Naiise. Hosted at the multi-concept store’s humongous new space at The Cathay, I Eat Design brings together locals from the food and design scenes in a collaborative effort.

Sample goodies from ten stalls, including mooncakes by j.artisier, salted egg chocolate truffles by Demochoco, whimsical unicorn-themed food by State Creative, éclairs by L’éclair Patisseries, and mocktails blended by The 1872 Clipper Tea Co and Jewels by Cheng. Also in the space is Food on Fork’s photography print showcase, featuring bite-sized items from vendors at the event, as well as Operation Overhaul’s live crochet demo of ice cream knick knacks.

If you’re keen on food workshops where you can design your own creations to bring home and show off, check out the granola parfait one by Eastern Granola and Box Green, the ice cream making class by Straits Wholefoods, or the tea blending session by Whitetree.

You can also learn from the experts how to appreciate the finer things in life — like the chocolate sesh with Beans to Bars or the wine and soju one with Geonbae. For healthy freaks, get in line to create your own acai bowl and blended juice drink with Jolin Ma and Poppy & Co. Sign up for the workshops before the festival weekend here.

I Eat Design by Naiise is on Sept 10-11, 1pm-9pm at Naiise, #B1-08 The Cathay, 2 Handy Rd. Free.
