Pop by The Kitchen at Bacchanalia for an ever-evolving three-course set lunch

The next time you find yourself scratching your head for business lunch options, try The Kitchen at Bacchanalia. Recently settling into its HongKong Street space, the 36-seater boasts a minimalistic design and an open kitchen concept. Chef Ivan Brehm leads the culinary charge, constantly swapping menus based on seasonal ingredients to ensure you’ll never be bored on your second, third or tenth visit.

For now, the lunch menu ($48++) offers a three-course set. Choose from starters like carrots with humus, dukka and cream cheese, cured Japanese hamachi, or chilled capellini pasta with roasted garlic mayo. Then move on to the rather-healthy mains of butter poached chicken breast with cheese, barramundi with organic mustard leaves or lamb and its kibbeh with charred eggplant and mung beans (for an additional $12).

Dessert comes in the form of a chocolate tart filled with grapefruit jam and topped with assam tea ice cream (definitely go for this) or a black sesame cake with pink guava sorbet.

The Kitchen at Bacchanalia is at 39 HongKong St, 9179-4552. Lunch: Tue-Fri noon-2.30pm, dinner: Mon-Sat 6pm-10.30pm.
