Over the weekend, Nutella fiends went nuts over a new doughnut creation by Krispy Kreme. The limited edition item saw the American brand’s original glazed doughnuts crammed with glorious Nutella and served up at all nine stores islandwide.
But of course, everyone wanted a bite of the rings of chocolate hazelnut, and they quickly sold out at most outlets by early afternoon on Saturday, just hours after the launch. Krispy Kreme told Channel NewsAsia that more than 2,500 of the Hazelnut Original Glazed doughnuts, each S$3.30, were snapped up as of 8:30pm that day.
So if you’re hungry for Nutella-filled carbs, you’d best get over to a Krispy Kreme store before the doughnuts make their exit for good (like McD’s short-lived *cough* and overrated *cough* chocolate pie). As of now, it seems the popular treat is still in stock at all stores.
Otherwise, there’s always an alternative flavor like speculoos cookie butter or New York cheesecake.
