Here’s a PSA on a new brand offering food products that are nearly too cute to eat: Paulicious, so named (we assume) for its delicious paus, has been popping up at food fairs across the island for a couple months now, and its sweet and savory buns are just adorbs.
Peering at the glass display, you’ll find them buns in the shape of any lovable cartoon character you can imagine — from Line’s Brown bear and Hello Kitty, to Minions and Doraemon, to Gudetama and Labi Xiaoxin.

You can get three for $10 or seven for $20, depending on how many of these charm their way into your heart — but take note that each one comes in a different flavor, so what you see may not be what you like.
For example, Brown bear encases a molten lava core of chocolate almond, while Labi Xiaoxin and the Minions offer a red bean flavor. Hello Kitty’s all about lotus fillings, while Doraemon prefers pandan kaya (apparently).
As for the non-cartoon characters, they’re quite self-explanatory. The durian bun contains D24 durian custard, the red chili is packed with sambal ikan bilis, the mushroom comes stuffed with chicken and mushroom, while the chicken one holds a black pepper chicken filling.

But just like Paulicious’ fleeting appearances around Singapore, its characters and flavors can come and go as well, so you’ll have to keep tabs on its Facebook page for updates.
The brand has previously popped up at places like West Mall, Raffles Xchange, Takashimaya Food Hall, and Tampines Mall, and it’s currently at Compass One from now till Aug 26 with a new honey barbecue pork bun. It comes in the shape of a pig, naturally.
