Complete with floor-to-ceiling windows and lit by an abundance of natural light, Glyph Supply Co‘s space in 111 Somerset is a minimalism haven, providing a picturesque backdrop for all your latte snapshots. Or a clean canvas of sorts for you to get some work done away from the shopping crowds.
Since the mall reopened after its revamp, it’s attracted a couple new brands to its location off the main stretch, including the likes of Coney Donut, Meruto Cheesecake, and So Good Bakery. And if you think about it, a boutique cafe is quite the rare find in a place as commercialized and brand-obsessed as Orchard Road.
Offering a small menu of coffees, teas, and baked goods, the selection includes white ($5.50), black ($4.50), and cold brew ($6) cups of joe made with a rotating line-up of roasts, alongside matcha ($6) and chocolate ($6) drinks. Plus, since the focus here is on the beverages, Glyph gets its sweet and savory bites from Carpenter & Cook, with ever-changing options such as lemon tarts, carrot cakes, almond croissants, and mushroom quiches.
It’s not quite a hearty brunch spot; more of a place to catch a breather if you’re feeling peckish or in the mood for a quick pick-me-up between meals.
