Those who regularly fly Down Under to haul back luggage pieces full of wine, cheese, and meat can perhaps give their freight game a bit of a rest now — Singapore’s first Australian specialty online retailer has arrived. Launched late last year, Artisan Selections offers fine foods, gourmet goodies, and wines sourced across more than 40 small-batch producers from the country known for its export of agricultural products.
Think chocolate, cider, seafood, extra virgin olive oil, cheese, honey, figs, and loads of spirits, beers, and wines.

Established by a group of food entrepreneurs from Australia and Singapore, the brand also allows for selected purchases in cities around the region, including Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur.
Items come from all over — including states like Victoria, Western Australia, and Tasmania — with bestsellers such as sous vide Barossa Valley rib-eye beef, cheese and charcuterie platters from B.-d. Farm Paris Creek and Barossa Fine Foods, chocolates by Bracegirdle, and spirits like Adelaide Hills 78 Degrees gin and Fleurieu Distillery’s single malt whisky.

Other participating artisanal producers include Kangaroo Island Spirits, Maggie Beer, Ratio Cocoa Roasters, Streaky Bay Seafood, Pendleton Fine Foods, Just Bliss Chocolates, Saskia Beer, Deviation Road, Turnbull Wines, Prohibition Gin, and The Honey Alchemists.

If you’re keen on finding out more about how these products received that “artisanal” designation, Artisan Selections also pens down a bit of a backgrounder on each brand and their signatures.
The site isn’t exactly the best-looking one around — and take note that prices are in Aussie dollars (not that it makes much of a difference, with the current exchange rate) — but it’ll do the trick when you’re missing a taste of Australian produce from your last trip there.
