Anyone else feel like you’ve been on a rollercoaster ride of emotions over the whole Gong Cha/LiHO situation? Don’t worry, you’ll soon be at ease, because the mother of all bubble tea brands is making its way back to our shores “very soon”.
Yes, we’ve missed you too, Gong Cha. Life just hasn’t been the same.
Anyway, if you somehow didn’t catch what was going on in the world of bubble tea, here’s a quick recap. In June, every single one of the more than 80 Gong Cha outlets in Singapore were converted into homegrown brand LiHO, and people went mad over its cheese tea drinks. But before Gong Cha fans even had the chance to mourn its passing properly, the chain announced its comeback to be expected in the next few months with a “bigger, better, upgraded format”.
