New Weekend Brunch: Modern Asian at Ku De Ta Restaurant starting March

Sick of seeing poached eggs and bacon strips at your brunch table, but want something a little more inspiring than mee siam?

Ku De Ta Restaurant — whose view of the Singapore city skyline is to die for — is launching a new weekend brunch menu starting Mar. 1 that combines English breakfast classics with Japanese dishes typically enjoyed in the morning.

In an attempt to expand the concept of brunch, chef Frederic Faucheux is introducing dishes like okonomiyaki-inspired omelette with tuna, ramen with shimeiji, bacon and overeasy egg, as well as chicken katsu-don. And what’s a Japanese meal without miso soup and sashimi, amirite? Salmon, tuna, as well as prawn and vegetable tempura are also on the menu.

Not all of the original brunch items will be removed, though — fans of the restaurant’s chicken char siew with Hong Kong egg noodles and the chilli linguine will still be able to enjoy them on top of the refreshed menu.

Ku De Ta’s new five-course brunch comes with a free-flow dessert buffet and is priced at $98++, with a Champagne brunch option ($178++).
