The next time you find yourself at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, you’ve got another option when the hunger pangs come calling. Kuro-Obi is IPPUDO’s first overseas outlet outside of New York, and it’s situated just beside ramen chain IPPUDO’s newest outlet at MBS next to the ice-skating rink — both are set to open on Jan 13.
The quick-service ramen bar takeaway concept is also the first (and only) one by IPPUDO to offer tori-paitan, a silky chicken soup base that’s been slow-cooked for hours and served with chicken chasu. Prices at Kuro-Obi start from a pretty affordable $8, and ramen bowls can be customised with options like noodle texture, soup concentration, stock richness and condiment add-ons.
