Elevating grilled cheese sandwiches to the next level is the #cheesepull factor, which people have been milking to get social media likes for a while now. But stretchy cheese colored in every hue of the rainbow and packaged in beary cute paper packets? That’s the stuff viral trends are made of these days (sadly enough).
Sure, it’s not exactly the newest, hippest fad, but Kuma Singapore is probably the only cafe in Singapore attempting to revive the hype after Epicurious closed down. Specializing in multi-hued cheese toasts ($6.90 each), the Malaysian brand tints its dairy with natural dyes extracted from sweet potato, butterfly pea flower, pandan, carrot, and roselle flower — so you can taste the rainbow, but not necessarily have to puke it out.
Kuma Singapore is at #02-24 Westgate, 3 Gateway Dr.
