This is New: Japanese-French restaurant opening soon is super wedding-focused

A new Japanese-French fusion restaurant is opening in Fort Canning this quarter.

Lewin Terrace — located in a black and white bungalow where the Central Fire Station’s former chief used to live — will be helmed by general manager and chief sommelier Daisuke Kawai, formerly of the Les Amis group and a World Gourmet Series award winner.

The restaurant’s gorgeous location — not unlike the famed Alkaff Mansion — and ambitious menu make the right impression on newly-dating couples looking for a spot of dinner, but Lewis Terrace is specifying early on, even before they establish an opening date, that their main focus is weddings.

If you’re looking for a mesmeric garden setting to tie the knot in, they’ve got all the deets down pat. Guests can enjoy a cocktail reception ala Secret Garden on their balcony at dusk and when night falls, dinner — accompanied by a themed dessert bar — will be served, surrounded by fairy lights scattered about the property. The restaurant also offers a dedicated bridal room, which is not commonly available in other dining venues.

The restaurant can accommodate up to 82 guests both standing and seated and up to 100 guests for a wedding event. Bookings start at $6,000++ for lunch at $12,000++ for dinner.

Oh and the most important thing, the drinks list will have over 100 types of wines and sake — Mr. Kawai will of course, assist with the pairing.
