With the return of Wine Lust for its second edition this year, wino-holics have something special to sip on for an entire month, starting on Aug 10. Some simple stats: 15 restaurants, 40 wine events, and 500 varieties of the grape stuff will be in the spotlight over the 32-day calendar.
First up, Wine Lust Journeys, a series of events across the island that’s putting wine on center stage. If you’re more of a bubbly kind of person, sign up for Champagne Lust at Stellar at 1-Altitude (Aug 15, 22 & 29 and Sept 5), which will host the first “Plenitude Suite” in Asia. For the bargain price of $1,000 (ha, ha) — you can experience a virtual trip to Champagne, France, a tasting session with Dom Perignon’s winemaker, a 10-course dinner, and a limousine ride from your doorstep.

For a quiet dinner at Seletar Aerospace Park, try the Barolo wine dinner at The Summerhouse (Aug 31, $120/person), where a four-course meal is complemented with organic and biodynamic wines. Elsewhere, at Burmalacco, a Chilean wine and Italian food pairing will take place on Aug 15 ($118/person), with bottles by PengWine. The same wine company is also featured at Pollen (Aug 23, $130/person) along with a South American four-course menu.
Other Wine Lust Journeys include a dinner with Dominique Portet’s winemaker at Stellar, and a champagne and cheese tasting.

Those who’d rather stroll in for a casual wine tasting can head over to Botanico at The Garage for a brunch spread (Aug 18, $55/person) with complimentary samples of more than 96 wines from across the globe. Alternatively, pop by CHIJMES for a buffet lunch and a taster selection of over 200 bottles by boutique retailer Crystal Wines (Aug 25, $72/person).
To sip on your glass of vino while lounging by the pool, check out Oasis at Grand Hyatt Singapore (Aug 31 & Sept 1, $98/person) for grilled meats and flutes of Champagne Pommery, one of the biggest champagne brands in France.

But if all this sounds a tad too high-priced for your taste, the festival also has special Wine Lust menus at restaurants like Monti, Mezzanine at the Grand Hyatt, and The Summerhouse, where you can purchase wines at retail prices through Chope and have them served with your meal.
Retailers such as 1855 The Bottle Shop, Culina Dempsey, Artisan Cellars, Moomba, La Rouge, and Cellar Master will also offer discounts on “wines of the month”, so keep a lookout for that.
