Timbre+ is turning one, and everyone’s invited to the gastropark’s month-long birthday bash. First off, there’s the Dancing Crab Shack’s crawfish party on Apr 7 and 8, with plates of crawfish and chilli crab served with craft beer buckets and a good dose of jazz, funk and hip hop by New Orleans-style roving musicians, New Stream Brass Band.
Next up, the Thirsty Games on Apr 13. Open only to companies in the one-north area (registration is $25 for a team of five), this competition features a medley of challenges, including activities like eating hot sauce, building the tallest Jenga tower, pub quizzes and beer pong contests. Cheer on from the sidelines for your favorite winning team, as the champions will receive a party for 50 at Timbre+.
On Apr 14 and 15, ready your stomachs for a skewer-themed outdoor supperclub event with eateries like Kush, Iskina Cebu and Big Bern’s American Grill barbecuing sticks of pork belly, whole chicken leg, foie gras, cheesesteak and wings with salted egg sauce. The week after next (Apr 21 and 22) will see Teppei Daidokoro, Food Anatomy and Big Bern’s American Grill dish out new offerings that aren’t on their standard menus — and families can get in on the fun with activities like face painting, balloon sculpting and hair chalk dyeing on Apr 22.
For the last weekend of Apr 28 and 29, swing by for a garden BBQ cookout, as Garçons Express, The World is Flat and Vatos Express whip up plates of barbecued chicken thigh, roast beef sandwich and Korean beef brisket banh mi. Musical duos will take the stage to provide a backdrop of melodies, and there’ll be a hair chalk station and apple crate games to keep you entertained.
Timbre+ first anniversary is on from Apr 3-30 at Timbre+.
