It’s official — Michelin Guide Singapore will be revealed on July 21 at an awards ceremony gala dinner in Resorts World Sentosa, where much-coveted stars will be presented to top notch restaurants in Singapore.
This comes after the tedious selection process where Michelin inspectors review establishments across the country according to five categories: quality of ingredients used, mastery of cooking techniques and flavours, reflection of chef’s personality in cuisine, value for money, and consistency. Factors like decor, service and facilities are not taken into account.

Plus, if you haven’t heard, there’s also a gourmet lifestyle web portal where you can pre-order the guide and make reservations at Michelin-starred restaurants.
But back to the ceremony. It’s apparently the world’s first Michelin guide awards gala dinner, and it’s open to the public, so you can mix and mingle with chefs and food connoisseurs (and perhaps some wannabe food critics). Dinner will be prepared by Joël Robuchon and several local chefs, and dishes will be complemented with 12 wines from Family of Twelve in New Zealand.
Tickets can be purchased at $450/seat on the site, which you should check out for a list of food-centric activities happening throughout the year.
