McDonald’s Singapore launches yet another gourmet burger — the Crispy Chicken Sandwich

McDonald’s Singapore is continuing their run of offering gourmand fare, and we’re loving it. Even though their foray into hipster café classics was a mixed bag (their truffle fries were absolutely meh), they made it all up with a surprisingly piquant salmon burger.

To follow up their recent atas offering, McDonald’s Singapore unveiled their Crispy Chicken Sandwich today, the latest in a limited series of new customer-inspired menu items.

“They’ve told us they would like a wider range of menu offerings and different types and cuts of fish and meat,” says McDonald’s Singapore managing director Robert Hunghanfoo. “Hence the focus on 100% chicken breast meat in the Crispy Chicken Sandwich.”

Though you can’t really go wrong with a chicken burger, the fast food giant went for classy — semolina buns, wild rocket leaves, and a double-battered chicken breast meat patty. So not as monstrously sinful like the McSpicy (or God forbid, the double McSpicy) and not as depressing as the McChicken.

The Crispy Chicken Sandwich is already on sale right now with extra value meals and such — customers can top up $1.20 to swap their fries to Garden Side Salad. But really, who does that at McDonald’s.
