Just in time for The Angry Birds Movie, which comes out on May 26, McDonald’s is getting in on the action with a bunch of new menu items inspired by the fluffy creatures.
Most noteworthy is the Super Red burger ($6.10), named after the leader of the Angry Birds flock, which features a smoky fried chicken patty and a gooey egg slathered in fiery pepper mayo sauce, all sandwiched between two red hot buns.
If you like your McNuggets flaming hot, try the Angry Birds Combo Boxes ($4.45-$5.95). From May 19 to June 8, the order will include a combination of chicken nuggets and spicy nuggets. From June 9 to June 29, things heat up with a mix of chicken nuggets and the all-new jalapeno nuggets.
Other Angry Birds-themed items include Happy Meals (they also come with a collectible) and the Breakfast Deluxe and Big Breakfast — all packaged in the film’s limited edition boxes. And for adventurous McFlurry eaters, try the vanilla soft serve lemon custard McFlurry ($2.90) with brownie bites, inspired by Chuck from Angry Birds.
