This one’s for all you xiao long bao (steamed soup dumpling) lovers in London — the city will see the UK’s first Din Tai Fung restaurant opening next year, thanks to local F&B company BreadTalk Group. They’re the ones debuting the Taiwanese dim sum chain in the European market. Din Tai Fung’s owner, Chi-Hwa Yang, gave credit to BreadTalk for helping boost the brand’s international success through the years.
Currently, Din Tai Fung has 135 eateries in 13 countries, and BreadTalk operates 21 in Singapore and three in Thailand.
The restaurant’s most beloved menu item is the xiao long bao, but it’s also got other popular offerings such as fried rice with pork chop, steamed truffle and pork dumplings, hot and sour soup, and braised beef noodle soup.
