Drink your fill of German beers to the backdrop of upbeat melodies at Melt Cafe’s Oktoberfest spread this month. With a wide selection of traditional home-style Bavarian cuisine, the German buffet includes all kinds of sausages, potato salads, roast beef, oxtail stew, braised lamb shank, potato and beer soup with bacon, and goulash. Other highlights include the oven-toasted beer glazed pork knuckle, spätzle egg noodles with sage and meat sauce, and Bavarian Semmelknödel bread dumplings.
At the dessert table, you’ll find cherry black forest chocolate cakes, a chocolate fountain, apple strudel, almond bienenstich with caramelised almonds and vanilla custard, and the chocolate Berliner, a donut-like pastry filled with chocolate.
