Flying ponies are coming to town and stabling up at Kumoya, the cafe behind collaborations with Mr Men and Little Miss, Miffy, and Care Bears. For the first My Little Pony pop-up, the space will be decorated in theme, featuring Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack.
And if you’ve never met these colorful baby horses, well then, just know that they’re all about magic and friendship.
With Little Miss Bento once again at the helm, the menu offers eight snacks, five mains, five desserts, and 10 syrupy sweet beverages. Nibbles range from nacho cheese fries ($10.90) to shrimp gyoza ($12.90), with seafood curry rice ($28.90), an English breakfast ($24.90) of sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, and hashbrown, karaage chicken with waffles ($23.90), and chicken katsu burger ($22.90) on the heartier side.
To get a little hands on with the dessert, order the “magic potion” galaxy cake ($21.90) and glaze your mango mousse sweet treat yourself. Otherwise, stick to tried and tested recipes like the ice cream Shibuya toast with rainbow cookies and lollipops ($24.90), the pink-hued strawberry cake with cotton candy ($17.90), and the stack of buttermilk pancakes with berries and a chocolate lollipop ($19.90).
If that’s insufficient sugar for your diet, sip on sparkling soda in flavors like bubblegum and watermelon ($12.90) with massive cotton candy clouds hovering above the glass.
