David Thompson’s Long Chim at Marina Bay Sands — our favorite Thai restaurant in Singapore — is celebrating its first anniversary on Mar 30 with a nod to the lucky (for Thais, at least) number nine. Select cocktails and drinks will be priced at $9++ all-day from noon to midnight.
The restaurant just recently added 11 new dishes to its menu. Two of those — grilled pork skewers and red curry of roast duck — are included in the $9++ promo, and you can also expect 19 more savoury dishes and four kinds of desserts. Six cocktails, plus Leo and Singha beers, are also a steal.
If this is your first time at this wonderful discovery, don’t miss out on the sublime dried prawns and ginger-toasted coconut wrapped in betel leaves and the mildly spicy chiang mai larp of chicken.
We also can’t say enough good things about the scallop salad and Tom Yam of sanpper with turmeric, which you will have to order from the regular menu or try on another visit.
