New to the South Bridge Road stretch, Dopa Dopa Creamery is one of those spots in Clarke Quay/Boat Quay that those averse to Singapore’s sweltering heat will surely appreciate. The ice cream parlor, housed in a little shop house space, regularly churns fresh batches of house-made gelato and sorbet, made with natural ingredients such as fruits, nuts, and tea leaves.
Each day brings with it eight flavors (from $3.90/single scoop) in unconventional varieties like watermelon mint sorbet, green tea toasted rice, hojicha, home roasted pistachio, speculoos with lotus biscuit, and apple ginger sorbet. But these creamy creations don’t just come in cones and cups – here, they’re also stuffed into buttery, flaky croissants ($5.50) that you can spread with house-made pistachio or hazelnut butter for maximum calorific pleasure.
If things get a tad too rich, then they’ve also got tea brews ($6) from local retailer Leefe Tea, plus their own coffee brews ($4-$6) to help offset all that sugar.
