UPDATE: Say Chiizu Café is now open to public.
Fans of Thailand’s stretchiest cheese toast Say Chiizu — the brand responsible for long lines of queuing folks that stretch just as long — can rejoice in the fact that they’ll be launching their first café in Singapore come early March.
Not only will patrons be able to play with (and eat) their highly Instagrammable Hokkaido-style cheese toasts in a sit-down setting, but they’ll be able to nosh on other cheesy delights. Aside from the slightly sweet toasts, the café at Bugis+ mall will offer savory items such as Chicken Mid Joints ($5.80 for four) and Chicken Bites ($4.80) — both of which can be topped with molten cheese for an additional $2. In time to come: Cheese Balls and Chicken Skin.

The true star of Say Chiizu Café, however, will have to be their Super Long Fries ($5.80) — a whole tray stacked with fried, carb-loaded goodness measuring as long as 30 centimeters each. If that ain’t enough to seduce you, each portion is generously capped with grated parmesan cheese and either Wasabi Mayo or Onion Mayo sauce. Five additional seasonings (BBQ, Sweet Corn, Sour Cream, Seaweed and Original Cheese) are provided for free for some extra taste.

But of course, those with a sweet tooth will find plenty to love here. On top of classic flavors such as Charcoal, Chocolate, and Original, herald the arrival of a new Matcha cheese toast, where green tea powder is infused in both the bread and the cheese ($3.80). It’s not a Thai spot without Thai milk tea, and Say Chiizu puts a cheesy spin on the beloved beverage. The Cheese Tea ($3.20) is Thai milk tea topped with a cheese foam comprising of cream cheese and whipped cream —an artery-clogging delight that’s probably worth the calories.
The new items will be also be selectively rolled out to each Say Chiizu outlet by the end of March — stay updated on their Facebook page.
Say Chiizu Café is at Bugis+, 201 Victoria Street, #04-01, S188067.
