From the people who brought you Hainanese chicken rice and Singapore laksa potato chips now comes a strange new flavor: Egg prata with fish curry.

Well. That’s rather specific. How ’bout those who prefer prata kosong (plain) or cheese prata? Or mutton curry, for that matter?

Granted, we love our prata and curry combo, and potato chips are as addictive as a snack can be. But together… Not sure if it’s a genius union of two beloved foods, or another bizarre trend to get people talking.

Anyway, regardless of how you feel about it, the crinkle-cut potato chips by F.EAST (Flavours of the East) will be available in Singapore from Sept 10-21 at the basement of Raffles Xchange. One pack goes for $3, but if you’d like to share the love, you can get four for $10 until Sept 14.

Subsequently, the chips will make their way across the island to 7-Eleven outlets and Giant supermarkets from Sept 22, and NTUC FairPrice stores from Oct 4-10.
