The fast food fans have demanded, and A&W has heard their cry for more curly fries. It’s heading to Ang Mo Kio in July this year to open its second Singapore outlet at AMK Hub. The 140-seater will open from 10am to 10pm daily, and will reportedly bring in “unique features” for the heartland crowd.
Highlights include a waffle island displaying the bestselling waffles, a selfie corner (to reel in millennials), and an upcoming merch corner with plushies and apparel featuring the brand’s mascot Rooty, The Great Root Bear. Also look out for potential breakfast and supper menus later in the year.
Of course, A&W classics such as the chicken coney dog, waffle ice cream, and root beer float will be available as well, alongside regional favorites like the cream cheese chicken burger from its Okinawa outpost and the Golden Aroma chicken from its Indonesia branch.
As for us, we’re just glad the crowds can now be split between the two eateries, which will hopefully translate to shorter queues. Maybe.
