Indoor picnics seem to be the rage these days — probably thanks to our hot and humid weather that alternates with rainy, dreary days. But even after all the pop-up soirees have come and gone, there’s one that will remain. And that’s Picnic, the new communal food hall at Wisma Atria.
Spread out across 10,000 sq ft in the mall, the garden-themed eatery is all about bringing an outdoor dining experience to you in an air-conditioned space. Featuring a coffee station, a wine/cocktail bar, and 13 food trucks whipping up a range of cuisines — from French to Italian to Japanese — the restaurant is pretty damn Instagram-worthy (especially if you’re sick of industrial chic cafes and exposed light bulbs).
Find your table at any of the three seating zones — there’s the flower garden, picnic area and beer garden — and place your order at the touchscreen menus provided (bills are settled at the exit, kinda like Marché). Some of the dishes available include Japanese, Korean or Spanish rosti at Rosti Haus, spicy BBQ pork tacos at Daebak, nonya chicken curry prata taco at Tikka Taco, beef noodles at Taiwan Signatures, and Southern fried chicken at Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.
