Go guilt-free with froyo made from roasted coconut husks and fruit enzyme drinks at this new Korean cafe

Look past KoKoPanda’s ridiculously adorable name and logo, and you’ll find a dessert/beverage cafe that aims to serve guilt-free (or as much as it can be) indulgence with stuff like superfood toppings. The Korean concept’s first outlet in Singapore highlights two types of soft serves ($4.90-$5.90) — there’s KoKo Black Yogo, a black froyo made with roasted coconuts husks and edible activated charcoal (that supposedly helps cleanse your body of toxins), and KoKo White Creamo, a rich and silky ice cream made from Korean milk. But no worries if you can’t make a decision to save your life — KoKo Twisto will come to your rescue with a half-half combination.

To enhance your icy experience, add toppings such as dried fruits (strawberries, apples, persimmons and Jeju tangerines), jelly pearls made from seaweed and jelly caviars made with real fruit juice. If you want a bit of crunch in every bite, choose KoKoCrunch, a blend of dried fruits and rice puff granola.

Green tea latte

Not in the mood for dessert? The beverage menu ($2.90-$4.20) offers a range with coconut water and chia seeds, iced teas, Korean-style bubble teas, fruit vinegar ciders and fruit enzyme drinks. Signatures to try include Jeju green tea latte with black KoKoPearls, green apple cider with chia seeds or the cranberry snow pear and Jeju tangerine fruit enzyme drink. Apparently, the fruit enzymes — which are made from fruits fermented at room temperature — supposedly have skin beautifying and healthy digestive properties.

KoKoPanda is at #B2-60 Plaza Singapura. Daily 10am-10pm.
