A diner that prides itself on its horrible service and welcomes all Karens is coming to Singapore.
Karen’s Diner yesterday confirmed that their sassy rude waiters along with their signature American burgers, milkshakes and cocktails will be in town.
No exact date was given except that it will open this “winter” until May 31 next year at a “secret location.” Tickets are at S$15 (US$10).
“[E]xpect rude service, singing waiters and regular guest appearances from the manager – the most Karen Karen ever – just don’t dare ask to see her!” the event’s description read.
The diner told Coconuts today that more information on the popup will be released soon.
The Australian diner, which also has outlets in the United Kingdom and New Zealand, has gone viral online for reenacting Karen antics like wearing their masks below their noses and having zero tolerance and patience towards everyone. On top of that, diners will have to face terrible attitude – and service – from the staff.
They forewarned diners that they will be served by “ungrateful” waiters but is confident about its food and “unforgettable” experience.
Bookings are open with tables seating up to four. The menu is vegetarian- and vegan-friendly.
The diner welcomes all Karens and actual Karens do get a free drink.
A popup was also slated for Hong Kong with the exact same information.
