Craving a bowl of creamy, cheesy goodness? There’s a new cafe at Sunshine Plaza, and it’s head-over-heels for good old mac and cheese. At The Big Cheese, for a rather affordable price tag of $7.90, you can get bowls of truffled mac and cheese with pulled beef or the ‘All American’ with crispy bacon, sausages and a sunny side up egg. Or if you’re going meat-free, $5.50 gets you dishes like truffled mushroom or spinach, feta and mozzarella.

But then again, unless you’re in a rush, you’d probably prefer to build your own bowl. Because why go for regular items when you can customize everything to your liking?

Fork out $5.90 and start by choosing your pasta from options like elbow macaroni, fusilli, penne and conchiglie, then decide on two cheeses from a list of cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan, gruyere, gouda and feta. Next up, throw in two meats or veggies — toppings include beef bacon, chicken sausage, shrimp, mussels, broccoli and spinach. Then sprinkle on bits of parmesan crumbs, bacon bits or Dorito crumbs for a finishing touch.

To go crazy on your cheese overdose, order a bunch of sides ($4.90 each) to share — on the menu are mac and cheese squares, grilled cheese toasties and cheesy potato skins.

We’re guessing you’ll probably stay away from cheese for a while after a meal here.

The Big Cheese is at #01-59 Sunshine Plaza. Daily 11am-2pm, 6pm-10pm.
