Fluff Stack at Suntec City is the latest cafe to jump on the souffle pancake craze

With a trim of green foliage bordering its ceiling and pastel pink furnishings lined with gold accents, Fluff Stack looks as sweet as its offerings. Taking up a spot in the freshly revamped basement area of Suntec City, right next to fellow newbie 108 Matcha Saro, the pretty little 40-seater is the latest cafe to cash in on the soufflé pancake trend… if it’s still a thing.

Arriving on the heels of Belle-Ville Pancake Cafe and Riz Labo Kitchen, both of which came to Singapore last year, as well as the newly-opened Gram Cafe & Pancakes, Fluff Stack seems kind of late to the game. But still, we’ll bite. Mostly because the prices here are gentle on the wallet.

A classic duo stack of cloud-like soufflé pancakes with honey butter, maple syrup, and Chantilly cream goes for $8.80, while the oolong version, served with gula melaka tapioca pearls, should appeal to bubble tea lovers at $9.80. The wobbly creations are said to be fluffy and airy, with more egginess than usual.

Even if you’re not a fan of oolong, you can add those boba bits to your order for an additional $1.50, as well as other toppings like coconut sago ($0.80), hazelnut chocolate ($1.50), and a range of fruits (from $2).

Other flavors at the store include strawberry cheese ($12.80), hazelnut chocolate ($13.80), and mango passion fruit ($14.80). But each jiggly plate comes at a cost, as you’ll have to wait about 15 minutes for your order to be prepped. So if there’s a line, you’ll probably be there for a while.

Still, knowing the more established brands it rivals, it remains to be seen if Fluff Stack’s goods can stack up against the competition.
