Local cupcake extraordinaire Fluff Bakery will kickoff their monthly charity drive with the Singapore Cancer Society on Valentine’s Day.
The specialist confectionery will donate half of their earnings from the day to the Cancer Society, and urges the public to make contributions as well. (You don’t have to buy their stuff to donate, but we’d like to see anyone try.)
Located at 12 Jalan Pisang, the cupcakery will extend their opening hours till 6pm on Feb. 14, even if the cupcakes sell out before then.
The initiative is part of Fluff Bakery’s corporate social responsibility campaign, in which they adopt several charities to give back to.
A post on their Facebook page reveals founders and married couple Nursyazanna Syaira and Ashraf Alami chose the Cancer Society as the company’s first adopted charity because they had spend a trying time together at the start of the business, when Ashraf was diagnosed with two brain tumours. This happened barely a year into their marriage.
Fluff Bakery have been making headlines for their delectable, innovative recipes, and experienced a minor backlash in November last year due to limited supply.
