Five new dishes and a grilled seafood section join the menu at Catalunya Singapore

Sharing is caring. At least it is at Catalunya Singapore, which has just expanded its a la carte and tapas menus to include grilled seafood and gluten-free options.

New to the waterfront restaurant is a cold cuts platter ($75), a medley of lomo iberico, chorizo iberico and jamon iberico with slices of bread and tomatoes. Because why order one type of cured meat when you can have ’em all?

Next up is the popular chilli crab txangurro ($42), an SG50 celebratory seasonal that made waves last year and landed up a permanent fixture on the menu. Think 120 grams of shredded Alaskan snow crab doused in chilli crab sauce and sprinkled with crispy bread crumbs.

In terms of gluten-free tapas, you can’t go wrong with the pincho moruno ($16), grilled pork tenderloin, or the piquillos with cod brandada ($18), red pepper stuffed with salted cod and extra virgin olive oil emulsion. Veggie lovers can try the croquetas de setas ($13), which are essentially mushroom croquettes.

If you prefer your meal fresh from the ocean, order the grilled seafood tapas ($14 to $75) and choose from options like bamboo clams, tiger prawns, scallopers, lobsters and calamari, all cooked over a charcoal fire. For bigger gatherings, we suggest the grilled seafood platter ($178), a variety of favourites that serves two to three.
