Don’t scoff at TV dinners – they can be cool, too. At least when you have ‘em at House, the quirky restaurant nestled in a corner of the Dempsey enclave. After realising how much people love to eat their food in front of a screen at this year’s FoodCine.ma collaboration for Tasteology, House is launching its own series called TV Dinners.
Instead of gagging at icky microwaved meals, you’ll be munching on comfort food from the restaurant’s dinner menu. Simply pre-order what you want, and it’ll be served to you on a bed tray as you snuggle up on a cushioned chair to watch three short films by local filmmakers – Kenny Gee’s The Body, Shuming He’s And The Wind Falls and Jacky Lee’s Sunshine.
The first TV Dinners edition is on Sept 8, 7.30pm at House, 8D Dempsey Rd. $50, includes a pre-ordered meal.
