These aren’t the stuff of nightmares, although they’re inspired by Japanese spooks. Just for the month of Halloween, three cocktail concoctions will be served at Japanese cocktail bar CACHÉ, an industrial chic space hidden behind a camouflaged wall at IZY Dining & Bar.
First up, a drink inspired by River Child, an imp from Japanese folklore. Kappa is a blend of gin, melon liqueur, absinthe, cointreau and lemon, shaken up with mint leaves. Then there’s Noroi, which means ‘curse’ in Japanese. This spellbinding mix contains white rum, elderflower liqueur, blue curacao, angostura bitters and prune juice.

Lastly, Chi is a blood red glass of dry gin, raspberry purée, maraschino liqueur and rosehip tea, topped with swirls of caramelised sugar.

The cocktails are available in October at CACHÉ, 27 Club St.
