If you like a Brachiosaurus breathing down your neck while you gobble your biryani, the food hall at Gardens by the Bay will make you feel at home.
Called Jurassic Nest, it is Singapore’s first dinosaur-themed food hall with 18 hyper-realistic gigantic dinos including the T-rex, Velociraptor and Brachiosaurus.
Best part? Some of the dinos are animatronic while the other 15 are static and located all around the food hall.
Sticking to the Jurassic theme, visitors can expect lush indoor greenery to resemble an “ancient forest”, a glass dome ceiling to bring in natural light and a three-meter high waterfall.
The animatronic dinosaurs also come to “life” in this setting with daily programmed shows accompanied by a soundtrack and assorted sounds to make the experience all the more realistic.
But besides the dynamic dinos, there’s also the food to look forward to. Another first for Singapore – the dining spot also brings together four Michelin-rated culinary brands.
Diners can pick from Hawker Chan for its famed chicken rice, Tsuta for a comforting bowl of ramen, Bismillah Biryani for a heaping bowl of its delicious savoury rice and Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang known for its fried chicken with spices.
Other dining vendors there also include Took Lae Dee which serves up authentic Thai flavors and other new concepts.
