A brightly-lit space at the basement of the South Beach development, new-ish modern Australian restaurant Fynn’s has just launched its dinner menu, featuring a small selection of fresh pastas, seafood starters and grilled meats. Kick off your last meal of the day with Italian burratina, brioche croutons and buttery cheese ($11.50), pan-seared Spanish octopus with a spicy apple slaw ($17) or Hokkaido scallops with creamy cauliflower purée and pickled onions ($12.50).

If you’re going the healthy route, order the endive salad ($11), which comes with candied pecans, pink peppercorn and a drizzle of dijon vinaigrette, or go for the Tuscan kale salad of crispy kale, fennel, red radish, ricotta and garlic croutons ($11).

Homemade pastas are given their own section on the menu with six options for you to choose from. There’s the gnocchi dish with mushrooms and parmesan ($23), a plate of beef ragu tagliatelle ($23) or crab meat taglierini ($26). If you’re feeling like splitting an order of seafood vongole ($38/two), go ahead and feast on clams and squid on a bed of spaghetti.

Mains come in the form of a seared seabass filet ($26.50), sirloin steak ($27), Iberico pork ($32) and herb-crusted lamb chops ($29.50) — you can get these with sides like parmesan spinach ($10), glazed roasted brussels sprouts ($11) or honeyed cumin baby carrots ($10).

As for desserts, chocoholics will be pleased to find a molten chocolate cake with coffee caramel and vanilla gelato ($13) on the menu, alongside the chocolate semifreddo ($13). Otherwise, there’s the not-so-gelat option of coconut mascarpone cream with chocolate crumbles ($13). Price tags here are pretty reasonable, so hit up the eatery if you’re in the area and looking for an affordable dinner option.

Fynn’s is at #B1-21 South Beach Avenue, 26 South Beach Rd, 6384-1878. Tues-Fri 9am-10pm, Sat 11am-10pm, Sun 11am-5pm.
